Seychelloise Artist - Frances Chang Him.

FRANCES CHANG-HIM I would like the viewer to experience a sense of gratitude towards the amazing beauty of the environment that surrounds us Frances’ subject of choice is tropical islands, beach and forest scenes, she creates painstakingly accurate renditions of lush locations around the Seychelles Islands. My core concern is definitely the reflection of nature and the manner in which nature enriches humanity. FAIRYLAND 2004 Acrylic on paper 50x40cm Frances is also concerned with the protection of the Seychellois Heritage and often portrays cultural elements in her paintings; you will often find women in traditional Creole dress and  figures performing activities unique to the Seychelles way of life. DAYDREAMING 100X80cm 2015 acrylic on canvas. Aside from landscape and scenic vistas Fran...

The BIG DRAW 2020 - Seychelles

For the past 4 years   Arterial Network Seychelles   have participated in the international   Big Draw   event, to promote drawing under a new theme each year  - this year the theme is “A Climate of Change”. The theme encompasses all the changes in every way that the world is currently experiencing and we decided to focus on environmental climate change- a topic which is particularly poignant for our small island nation.   We had Five schools participating this ...

Penlac sponsors the ANS and ISS Eco Murals collaboration

Arterial Network Seychelles would like to pay tribute to Mr Gafoor Yakub Chief Executive Officer of Penlac who for many years has been a valued sponsor and supporter of the Arts in Seychelles. International School Seychelles in collaboration with Arterial Network Seychelles will create Eco themed murals with paint donated by Penlac. The murals will be painted by ISS students depicting the different terrains, such as mountainous areas, forest, mangroves and the sea – highlighting and educating the effects that we humans have on these environments in the Seychelles. When completed the murals will be mounted on the school walls reminding students to take care of our environment. On Tuesday 26th of March, Richard Pitman ISS Head of Art & Design with students Amanda Amade and  Shamara Adams along with Artist, Mrs Angie Geehan representing Arterial Network Seychelles, attended a press ceremony at Penlac to say thank you to Mr Yakub for his continued support, and the Penlac...
